Our surgical team includes dozens of board-certified surgeons, with a wide variety of specialties, who perform procedures at Skagit Valley Hospital, Cascade Valley Hospital, the Mount Vernon Surgery Center and the Arlington Surgery Center. Currently, we perform an average of 675 surgeries a month.

State-of-the-Art Surgical Suites

Skagit Valley Hospital offers six state-of-the-art surgical suites and Cascade Valley Hospital offers three. Each room has been specially designed to provide a calm and spacious working environment for our surgical team composed of surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, technicians and support personnel.

Outpatient surgeries are performed at Skagit Valley Hospital and Cascade Valley Hospital, as well as at the freestanding surgery centers in Mount Vernon and Arlington.

Skagit Regional Health provides the latest in surgical technology. Our digitally-integrated operating rooms put everything at a surgeon’s fingertips, from control of the room lights and surgical equipment to patients' diagnostic reports.

Outpatient Surgery for Faster, Safer Recoveries

The well-trained, compassionate nurses in our outpatient surgery department are dedicated to ensuring that each patient is thoroughly prepared for surgery and returns to a private, comfortable environment before returning home the same day.

Our recovery room area, staffed by specially trained post-anesthesia care unit nurses, helps assure a speedy and safe anesthesia recovery process.

For those who require overnight hospitalization following surgery, our acute care staff on the surgical and orthopedic care nursing units provide around-the-clock, patient-centered care. They also provide physical therapy and other follow-up treatment as needed.
