With a commitment to experiential learning, the Graduate Medical Education (GME) Programs at Skagit Regional Health enhance the health of our communities through a mutually beneficial educational relationship between regional hospitals, clinics, providers and community health resources.
With a multidisciplinary approach, our GME program expertly develops primary care physicians for community practice. Residents will spend time caring for patients admitted to Skagit Valley Hospital, in addition to outpatient clinical care at our Family Medicine Residency Clinic or our Internal Medicine Residency Clinic. Together with our clinical specialists and support services, we provide compassionate, comprehensive care to every patient.

As a teaching hospital, we are a core site for Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences Osteopathic Medicine students and a training site for many other learners including medical students, nurse practitioner students, pharmacy students, nursing students and medical assistants.
