Multi-Specialty Robotic-Assisted Surgery
In 2018, Skagit Regional Health was the first healthcare system north of Everett to offer the da Vinci® Xi™ Surgical System. Robotic-assisted surgery is shown to improve patient outcomes, reduce recovery time and shorten hospital stays.
Performing Complex Procedures Through Small Incisions
The da Vinci® Xi™ Surgical System is housed at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon and is accessible for patients across the Skagit Regional Health system needing a robotic surgery procedure offered by our surgical team. Each surgeon offering robotic surgery is specially trained to use the robotic computer and optical technologies, completing many hours of practice and specialized education. These advances in surgical techniques allow our surgeons to perform complex procedures through small incisions as an alternative to both traditional open surgery and conventional laparoscopy.
