How Donations are Spent


The Skagit Regional Health Foundation is forever grateful to our 2023 donors who generously gave gifts totaling more than $4,298,650. These gifts were received in the form of cash, stock, pledges, event proceeds, bequests and gifts-in-kind.

In turn, the Foundation was pleased to provide the following grants totaling $1,164,887 to support programs and services at Skagit Regional Health.

  • $1,000,000 to the Heart and Vascular Institute
  • $24,196 for the Cancer Care Patient Assistance Fund and needs in the Cancer Care program
  • $5,333 to the Children’s Therapy Program
  • $4,995 to the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program
  • $11,000 to the Cascade Valley Hospital and Skagit Valley Hospital Wound Healing Centers
  • $365 to the Graduate Medical Education program
  • $73,172 to the Cascade Valley Hospital Family Birth Center  
  • $15,000 to supply clothing for the Emergency Room Clothing Banks at Cascade Valley Hospital and Skagit Valley Hospital
  • $30,826 in support of other patient care programs and services

All gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible and can be made in memory or honor of a loved one. Donors may restrict the use of the gift and direct a donation to a specific fund, as noted below.
