Foundation’s 38th Annual Festival of Trees Supports Advanced Cancer Care at Skagit Regional Health

The Skagit Regional Health Foundation, in partnership with Title Sponsor Peoples Bank, presents a Thanksgiving weekend filled with holiday magic. Show-stopping Christmas trees, imaginative designs and nutcrackers will capture the childhood wonder and festive spirit of the season.

The weekend begins with the Gala and Auction, sponsored by Heritage Bank and Whidbey Coffee, on Friday, November 27, 2026. Toy soldiers will greet guests beginning at 5 p.m., followed by bubbly, wine, beer and cocktails; savory hors d’oeuvres; and many opportunities to give. Guests can shop the designer wreaths and mini tree sales and purchase Best of Live, Green for Green and Tree Raffle tickets.

The evening’s main event is the live auction, featuring more than 20 beautifully designed Christmas trees and 10 fabulous experiences. Highlights include a fishing trip for four in the waters of Sitka, Alaska; a Holland America 7 - day Cruise for two to the Caribbean, Mexico, Alaska or Canada/New; a week in Belize for four with airfare and accommodations; a firehouse birthday bash for the young—or young at heart—and the ever-popular whiskey, cigar and culinary experience for 12.

The holiday magic continues during Family Festival Days:

• Saturday, November 28, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Sunday, November 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Guests of all ages are invited to view the Christmas trees and Gingerbread House Contest entries, enjoy kids’ activities and take part in the beloved tree-ornament scavenger hunt. Visitors can also purchase designer wreaths and mini trees and buy raffle tickets for the chance to win a fully decorated Christmas tree.

Festival of Trees Proceeds to Transform Regional Cancer Care
The Skagit Regional Health Foundation Board of Trustees recently announced a $3.5 million capital campaign to help transform cancer care in our region.

Campaign Priorities
The Foundation will raise funds to purchase a next-generation linear accelerator for state-of-the-art radiation therapy at the Skagit Regional Health Cancer Care Center. Funds will also be used to improve patient access, adding 72 dedicated parking spaces to ensure stress-free access to care facilities.  

Patient Benefits
The new linear accelerator will provide patients receiving radiation therapy with precision cancer care. More precision. Shorter treatment times. Personalized care. The potential for better outcomes—and renewed hope.

The Festival of Trees will kick off this important campaign. To reach the $3.5 million goal, the Foundation will seek support from regional businesses, families and individuals; pursue grant funding; and continue raising awareness and support through its signature events—the annual ParTee Golf Classic and Festival of Trees.
