Skagit Regional Health is dedicated to collaborating with our communities to promote health and wellness. Below is a list of community events and engagements that some of our providers and staff participated in during the month of June:
June 2: Everett Family YMCA – Diabetes and Prediabetes Talk
Navraj Rai, DO, Family Medicine physician, delivered a community presentation at the Everett Family YMCA focused on diabetes and prediabetes awareness. The informative session helped attendees recognize the signs and risk factors of prediabetes and provided practical steps for preventing the progression of diabetes. The presentation also covered lifestyle strategies to stabilize an adult's blood sugar levels, including exercise, sleep, nutrition and stress control.
June 19-21: Berry Dairy Days
Skagit Regional Health proudly sponsored the 2026 Berry Dairy Days Festival in Burlington, Washington, and hosted a community outreach booth during the event. Staff connected with attendees and shared information about Skagit Regional Health services and clinic locations, cancer screening resources, the Be Well podcast and other programs available to support community health and wellness.

June 26: Skagit Regional Health Foundation’s 22nd Annual ParTee Golf Classic
This year’s ParTee Golf Classic, organized by the Skagit Regional Health Foundation, took place at the Skagit Golf and Country Club in Burlington, Washington, on Friday, June 26. Skagit Regional Health was a sponsor of the event, and several employees participated by golfing or volunteering their time. Proceeds raised from the event will support patient care and services at Skagit Regional Health.
June 27: Relay for Life of Snohomish County
Skagit Regional Health was proud to sponsor the 2026 Relay for Life of Snohomish County in Tulalip, Washington, and host a community booth during the event. Team members shared information about Skagit Regional Health services and highlighted the organization's cancer support groups, connecting with community members and cancer survivors throughout the day.
Hosted by the American Cancer Society, the event raised more than $60,000 to support cancer research and patient services. Funds raised will help provide vital resources for individuals facing cancer including transportation to treatment, lodging assistance, hair loss and post-surgical products and other supportive programs.
