Healthcare Week brought celebration, care and fun to SRH employees

Each year, Healthcare Week brings Skagit Regional Health employees together to connect, have fun and be celebrated for the hard work they do.
Brian Ivie, CEO, kicked off the week with a letter to all staff sharing the importance of celebrating every role and profession across Skagit Regional Health from frontline caregivers to behind-the-scenes support teams for their commitment to our mission of exceptional healthcare, always.
The Employee Experience Team hosted open-house style wellness events at multiple campuses, featuring a space for employees to enjoy a variety of events highlighting wellness-focused themes of Move, Renew, Connect, Save and Play. Events included giveaways, games, photo ops, treats and more.

In addition to the in-person events, deliveries were made to night-shift staff at both hospital campuses, and to clinics located further from the organized wellness events. Remote employees had wellness items mailed to their homes.
“The goal was to celebrate our employees for all the amazing work they do each and every day,” said Tracey Elfstrom, Regional Director of Organizational and Leadership Development.
The week also featured four dress-up days including Silly Hat Day, Superhero Day, Crazy Print Day and SRH Logo Wear day.
Thank you to the Employee Experience team for helping plan the week’s events, all of the volunteers who helped with events and clinic deliveries, leaders who helped with night-shift deliveries, Marketing & Communications for all of the assistance communicating the schedule of events, Materials Management for delivering supplies and Engineering for setting up and taking down tables. Making everything happen was definitely a team-effort!
