Allison Porter, MD FACS, is the Department Lead of General/Thoracic/Plastic Surgery and previously served as the Chief of Surgery for Skagit Regional Health from 2020-2026. She is a General Surgeon with specialty training esophagogastric surgery, robotic surgery and minimally invasive general surgery. Her specialty interests include treatments for benign disorders of the esophagus and stomach including hiatal hernias, gastroesophageal reflux, paraesophageal hernias and esophageal disorders such as achalasia. She also performs minimally invasive abdominal hernia repairs and practices a broad spectrum of general surgery.
She received her undergraduate degree in Astrophysics from Harvard University, MD from University of Washington School of Medicine and is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. She serves at the national level as a Governor for the American College of Surgeons, and is a Past President of the American College of Surgeons Washington State Chapter.
