Maalik Imtiaz, MD, was born in Michigan and raised in British Columbia, Canada. He attended middle school and high school in the remote Northern BC town of Fort Nelson before pursuing higher education in the United Kingdom.
He now returns to the Pacific Northwest after completing his medical training at the University of York and the University of Hull in England. Dr. Imtiaz is excited to continue his medical training in Skagit, which brings him closer to his family in Chilliwack, BC.
His interest in internal medicine stems from his appreciation for caring for patients as whole individuals and serving as a central liaison among various specialists. He is particularly drawn to medical education and the care of critically ill patients.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys snowboarding, hiking and exploring the beautiful outdoors of the Pacific Northwest with family and friends.
