“I grew up on a horse ranch in Sultan, WA. After high school, I felt like I needed to experience the other side of the U.S., so I headed off to Vassar College in New York for my first bachelor’s degree in biopsychology. It was clear I belonged back in Washington. I came back and worked in the Vascular Biology department at the University of Washington doing research for seven years before I decided to become a nurse. I received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from UW in 1999. Shortly thereafter my daughter was born, and we decided to move up to Mount Vernon to get out of the city. I quickly found this practice and knew right away I was where I was supposed to be. While working as an RN here, I went back to the UW and earned my Masters in Nursing to become a Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in 2008. I love working with children and their families and look forward to a long and fulfilling career at Little Mountain Pediatrics.”
