Dr. Doug Hayes has lived in Washington state his whole life and is excited to be doing his residency close to home. Doug moved to Bellingham in 2003 to attend Western Washington University where he majored in Community Health and Spanish. After graduating with his Bachelor's degrees, he worked as a clinical health educator with a focus on chronic disease management in the Latino community. Doug attended medical school at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences in Yakima, and did his clinical rotations in the Mount Vernon area. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, mountain biking, spending time with his dog, running and occasionally reading a good book.
