“I am originally from the Midwest where I completed my undergraduate degree in Biology with a concentration in Health and Disease and minor in Spanish at Purdue University. I then completed my medical training at Indiana University School of Medicine. Throughout my undergraduate and medical school training I participated in physiology, molecular genetics/developmental neuroscience and microbiology research labs. I'm grateful to my research mentors and the thought processes I developed from those experiences which are an asset to me now as a physician. In medical school I developed a passion for Pediatrics which lead me to completing a Pediatrics residency at the University of Arizona.
It continues to be an honor to care for the families of Skagit Valley. I enjoy working with patients from newborns through teenage years. As a life-long learner, my passion is to provide evidence-based care to my patients. I believe in empowering families and patients with a true understanding of their symptoms and diagnosis so that they can make informed decisions for the betterment of their health.
Outside of clinic, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our son and our family and friends. Becoming a mother has been the greatest joy and also most humbling experiences of my life! I now take my experimenting to the kitchen where I enjoy cooking with my husband. I love the outdoors and enjoy hiking, mountain biking and stand up paddle boarding. I also enjoy reading, music and checking out community events.”
