Katherine “Katie” Eastin, DO, is a graduate of Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Yakima, WA. She grew up in Everett, Washington, where most of her family still resides, but she has fallen in love with Bellingham, where she currently lives.
She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Scripps College in Claremont, California. After graduating in 2019, she joined the Peace Corps and erved as an agricultural volunteer in Paraguay before being evacuated during the COVID-19 pandemic. After returning home in 2020, successfully bringing her cat back with her from Paraguay, she moved to Seattle to work as an eye recovery technician, recovering corneas from registered donors, before attending medical school.
Dr. Eastin approaches medicine with a focus on holistic, patient-centered care, emphasizing preventative wellness and seeing the whole patient. She is excited to build long-term connections with her patients in the Skagit Valley and has a wide range of clinical interests, including women's health, obstetrics and gynecology, LGBTQIA+ care, in-office procedures and behavioral health. She hopes to partner with her patients to advocate for their best health outcomes.
When she is not in the hospital or clinic, she is likely spending time at home with her partner, Emilee, along with their dog and five cats; working on a craft such as needlepoint, painting ceramics or jewelry-making; reading (often with a cat or two on her lap); or planning the garden layout for her future house.
