Dr. Kayleen Davidson was born in Connecticut during her father's second year of his Family Medicine residency and has been around medicine her whole life. From this, she found that her love of people and science naturally led her to medicine. She attended Berry College in Rome, GA for undergrad and then taught high school Chemistry, Biology and Health for a year before going to medical school at Wake Forest University School of Medicine on a U.S. Navy Health Professions Scholarship. After graduating, she completed an Internal Medicine intern year followed by six months of Aerospace Medicine training to become a U.S. Navy Flight Surgeon. For eight years, she provided primary and aeromedical care to U.S. Navy pilots, aircrew and aircraft maintainers in Texas and Washington, going on deployments to Japan and Turkey as well as short training detachments around the country and on aircraft carriers. She even got to fly! It was during this time that Dr. Davidson came to appreciate the need for excellent primary care and decided to return to residency to complete her training in Internal Medicine. She is looking forward to working alongside her co-residents caring for the people of Northwest Washington. In her free time, she enjoys finding good breakfast spots; reading science fiction, mysteries, historical fiction and more; traveling; baking; getting outside and, most of all, spending time with her husband, son and two dogs exploring this beautiful area.
