Bruss, Nur
Skagit Regional Health Provider

Nur A. Bruss, MD

Dr. Nur Bruss was born on the island of Cyprus and moved to the United States as a young child where he grew up in the Midwest, mostly in Colorado. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of California Irvine, after which he moved north to Portland, Oregon where he spent two years as a researcher at the Knight Cancer Institute. Through his research he realized that he had a passion for medicine that went farther than what he could accomplish in the lab alone, and wanted to pursue a career as a physician to bring his passion from the bench to the bedside. He completed his medical education at the Oregon Health and Science University and chose to pursue his training in internal medicine due to the complex nature of this medicine and his desire to help patients navigate some of the most difficult times of their lives. Outside of the hospital he enjoys spending time with family and friends, rock climbing, fly fishing, skiing and really anything that allows him be in the mountains. Having lived in the Pacific Northwest since 2017, he considers it home and is both excited and grateful for the opportunity to continue serving and learning with the residents of Skagit Valley.
