Overview

Ahmed Abou‑Zeid, MD, was born in Los Angeles, California, and raised in Egypt. He earned his medical degree from Misr University for Science and Technology. After graduating from medical school, he moved to the United States and worked as a Clinical Documentation Specialist, collaborating closely with both administration and physicians while gaining valuable insight into the clinical and operational sides of healthcare.

During medical school, Dr. Abou‑Zeid developed a strong interest in Internal Medicine because of its emphasis on clinical reasoning, long‑term patient care and the opportunity to support patients and families during serious illness. As a resident, he looks forward to strengthening his clinical skills, evidence‑based practice and clinical efficiency initiatives, as well as learning in a team‑based environment.

Outside of the hospital, he enjoys staying active, exploring new places, reading and learning about different sciences.
