Skagit Regional Health Foundation

Established in 1988, the Skagit Regional Health Foundation is a private, non-profit corporation that acts as the official gift-receiving agency for Skagit Regional Health. The sole mission of the Foundation and its 25-member board of directors is to raise, manage and distribute funds to assure the continued availability of quality healthcare services and programs. The Skagit Regional Health Foundation has funds that support programs and healthcare services across the Skagit Regional Health system.

Why wait?

Thanks to our generous donors, the Skagit Regional Health Foundation awarded $3,283,696 in 2024 to support vital programs at Skagit Regional Health. Your ongoing support is essential to our mission of providing exceptional healthcare to the communities we serve. On behalf of the Foundation's Board of Trustees and staff, we extend our sincere gratitude for your partnership in improving patient care. Join us today in continuing to make a meaningful impact—your support makes a difference!

Why us?

The Skagit Regional Health Foundation is celebrating 38 years of partnerships, generosity and gratitude. The Foundation works with Skagit Regional Health to fulfill needs in the many healthcare facilities across Skagit, Island and north Snohomish counties. The Skagit Regional Health Foundation has supported a wide variety of programs and capital projects since it's inception in 1988 and has exciting plans to continue raising the bar for state-of-the-art healthcare in our communities.

Why now?

Since 1958, the Family Birth Center at Skagit Valley Hospital has been a trusted place where generations of families have welcomed new life. As a vital part of our community, the Birth Center has provided exceptional care and support to countless mothers and newborns.

Last spring, the Skagit Regional Health Foundation committed to raising $1.6 million to enhance this essential service. All funds will support safety and security upgrades across the 21 single maternity care rooms, along with a much-needed facelift to create a more welcoming, spacious environment.

Our campaign aims to renovate these rooms to meet the highest standards, providing a sanctuary where families can begin their journey together. These upgrades will ensure the Birth Center team can continue offering unmatched support, comfort, and peace of mind at one of life’s most important moments. Completion is expected by the end of 2025, marking a new chapter in maternity care at Skagit Valley.

Strengthening healthcare services in your community.

The Skagit Regional Health Foundation works collaboratively with Skagit Regional Health to transform our healthcare system by improving upon service, quality and efficiency in support of a healthier community.
