Skagit Regional Health partners with Meals on Wheels to bring holiday cheer to local seniors and homebound adults

Skagit Regional Health volunteers prepare gift bags.

Skagit Regional Health partnered with Meals on Wheels in Skagit and Snohomish counties to bring a little extra happiness to their homebound clients by delivering cheerful gift bags right to their doors this holiday season.

Each gift bag, contributed by Skagit Regional Health employees, included a blanket, socks, gloves and some soothing decaffeinated tea. Volunteer Services supported the effort by offering pre-filled bags for purchase, which were lovingly assembled by SRH Volunteers.

A total of 440 bags were donated and collected; 285 at Skagit Valley Hospital and the Business Center for Skagit County clients, and 155 at Cascade Valley Hospital for Snohomish County clients.

A big thank you to all who provided a gift bag and to Meals on Wheels for collecting, delivering and spreading the cheer!
