Skagit Regional Health Foundation announces new Capital Campaign

The Skagit Regional Health Foundation Board of Trustees is pleased to launch their new Capital Campaign, which will benefit the Family Birth Center at Skagit Valley Hospital.

The campaign goal of $1.6 million will pay for the renovation of the Skagit Valley Hospital Family Birth Center’s 21 labor and delivery rooms. The rooms will be redesigned to create a welcoming, spacious environment where the exceptional birthing center care team can provide support to moms and their newborns. The project will include important safety and security upgrades to the unit. It’s estimated that the 21-room renovation will take just over one year, with construction to be completed by the end of 2025.

“The growing challenges of labor and delivery services are felt in every Family Birth Center. Skagit Regional Health is taking charge of making this project a priority for our healthcare community,” said Tami Schnell, Regional Director, Women’s and Children’s Services. In 2023, more than 900 babies were born at Skagit Valley Hospital.

Campaign donations of any size will assist in the success of the fundraising effort. Proceeds from the Foundation’s annual ParTee Golf Classic and Festival of Trees will also benefit the campaign.

We are honored to have Foundation trustees Lesha Boucher, RN and Aldi Kllogjeri serve as campaign co-chairs. “We are excited to create an opportunity for our community to show their support of this important patient care area,” said Kllogjeri.
