From panel discussions to health fairs; Skagit Regional Health employees active in Snohomish County
Skagit Regional Health is dedicated to collaborating with our communities to promote health and wellness. Below is a list of community events and engagements that some of our providers and staff participated in for the month of March:
Fentanyl Awareness Forum – March 12
Granite Falls Community Coalition and Food Bank hosted a Fentanyl Awareness Forum at Crossroads High School. This event was open to the community. Skagit Regional Health family medicine physician Jared Lambert, MD was invited to sit on a panel with local firefighters, parents and school administration as they shared information and answered questions about fentanyl prevention. Exploring Careers & Healthcare Opportunities (ECHO) Tour – March 18-20
The Career Connect NW Network facilitated the ECHO Tour at Everett Community College to promote careers in the healthcare sector. Every high school in Snohomish County was invited to this three-day event, with over 400 students from 24 high schools and programs attending. Local employers were invited to participate in the event to introduce their brand into the community and highlight the range of careers available in the healthcare field.
