A patient’s loved one nominated Meridith, stating, “All of the hospital staff have been outstanding, friendly and very caring. One RN however, stands out and her name is Meridith. She was a breath of fresh air every time she entered the room. She is skilled, intelligent and entertaining. She felt like a neighbor or a friend. We all know that my partner is dying, but, as he would say, "I'm not dead yet."  She treated him with respect but also teased him and, probably most important, made him laugh while making sure all his needs (and mine too) were met. That included chocolate pudding and chicken noodle soup when nothing else tasted good … little things make a huge difference. I highly recommend Meridith for this award. She is a wonderful human being and a gifted caregiver. “
