September is National Suicide Prevention Month
It is always important to talk openly and candidly about mental health. If you or someone you know is in an emergency, call or text 9-1-1 immediately.
If you are in crisis or are experiencing difficult or suicidal thoughts, call The 988 Lifeline. As of July 16, 2022, 988 is now active across the United States. This new, shorter phone number will make it easier for people to remember and access mental health crisis services.
If you are uncomfortable talking on the phone, you can also text 741-741 to be connected to a free, trained crisis counselor on the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Crisis Text Line.
