Meet Fellowship-trained, Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Willis

Dr. Alexander Willis is a board certified, fellowship-trained Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in adult reconstructive surgery and musculoskeletal oncology at Skagit Regional Health.

 

Dr. Alexander Willis is a board certified, fellowship-trained Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in adult reconstructive surgery and musculoskeletal oncology at Skagit Regional Health.

Dr. Willis earned his bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Princeton University. He graduated from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, during which he completed a research fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and a prestigious bioethics fellowship at the University of Oxford focusing on the importance of the patient-physician relationship. Dr. Willis completed his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ. In addition to the time spent at Monmouth Medical Center, he trained in orthopedic trauma at University Hospital in Newark, NJ and at the world-renowned Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for pediatric orthopedic care. He then completed advanced fellowship training at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School focusing on complex limb reconstruction and musculoskeletal oncology.

Dr. Willis is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS) and the Musculoskeletal Tumor Society (MSTS) and incorporates the most technologically-advanced minimally invasive and computer-aided navigation techniques to create the best possible outcome for each patient.

Dr. Willis sees patients at Skagit Regional Clinics - Riverbend and is part of a multi-specialty team of healthcare professionals serving northwest Washington, dedicated to serving with compassion and respect, one patient at a time. In his free time, Dr. Willis enjoys hiking, skiing, playing piano and spending time with family.
