At the August 18 Skagit Regional Health Foundation Board meeting, the following grants were approved:
- $100,000 to update equipment and patient rooms in the Cascade Valley Hospital Family Birth Center.
- $33,100 to purchase six “bed sore” pressure maps – three each for Skagit Valley Hospital and Cascade Valley Hospital.
- $6,400 to purchase a treadmill for the Heather Schols Cardiac Rehabilitation Center at Skagit Valley Hospital.
- $3,143 to purchase supplies for the Children’s Therapy Program at Skagit Valley Hospital.
The Foundation also approved an increase in the per-patient limit from $500 to $750 for the Cancer Care Patient Assistance program.
The Board of Trustees are grateful to our donors for their generous gifts to the Foundation that in turn support these important patient services.
