Nursing, Employee StoriesCVH RN receives Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nurses

Daisy Award recipient: Krisan Blacken, RN, Surgical Services, Cascade Valley Hospital
“At Cascade, Krisan is a vital asset in so many ways that need to be recognized. She is the go-to nurse in our department and floor for hard-to-get IVs or help with any of the scheduled infusions or treatments needed. If a treatment is needed, Krisan is who usually makes it happen either by getting the patient on the schedule or doing the treatment herself. I didn’t nominate Krisan for any one specific event that happened, but for what she does every day for Cascade and Skagit Regional Health. The flow of our RCR schedule has been a challenge and Krisan has remained a very helpful go-to for our patients, some who have to wait hours.” - Marna Manley, RN
