Nov 9, 2020, 18:16 PM
Significant improvements to the look and feel of MyChart, improving the patient experience while accessing health records and medical information.

Epic will be completing an upgrade on November 19 which includes significant improvements to the look and feel of MyChart, improving the patient experience while accessing health records and medical information.

Learn more about the MyChart upgraded features by watching a quick video for MyChart Desktop users or the MyChart mobile app.

The upgrade includes improved features to help patients more easily locate what is most important to them. Once logged in, patients will see several updates:

  • Top navigation: The top navigation icons provide quick access to their message inbox, test results, medication information and visit information.
  • Health feed: In their health feed, patients can view alerts and information for their care, including messages, appointment reminders, billing information and more. Patients will also be able to take direct action by clicking the items in their health feed, such as complete eCheck-in, read and reply to messages and pay their balance.
  • View linked accounts: Users with proxy accounts will be able to more easily view information within their linked accounts. For example, a caregiver will be able to view client information, and a parent will have access to child information, right inside their feed.
  • Side menu with search function: Patients can use the new side menu to access more detailed health information not found in their health feed. At the top of the side menu is also a search bar where patients can type in a specific query.

For questions about these upcoming changes, please call MyChart Customer Support at 360-814-6259, or send a Customer Service Message in MyChart.

Improvements like this upgrade ultimately empower and equip patients with the tools they need to conveniently and successfully manage their health care – another way Skagit Regional Health is working to improve access, service, quality and efficiency in healthcare while working toward a healthier community.
