With October 29 being World Stroke Day this is a great time to brush up on the warning signs and symptoms of stroke so you can BE FAST and know when to call 9-1-1. Acting quickly may be the difference between recovery and disability.
B - Balance: A sudden change in balance or dizziness.
E - Eyes: Loss of vision in one or both eyes or double vision.
F - Face: Does the face look uneven?
A - Arms: A sudden weakness in arm or leg?
S - Speech: Speech slurred, trouble speaking or confused?
T - Time: Note the time when symptoms begin.
BE FAST and call 9-1-1 right away!
Every minute counts! Call 9-1-1 immediately after symptoms being to reduce the effects of stroke.
