Cardiac Care
What is a Cath Lab?
Catheterization Lab or Cath Lab are exam rooms with imaging equipment used to visualize arteries and chambers of the heart to diagnose heart disease, treat any blockage identified and prevent heart attacks.
Many Treatment Options
With these upgrades, our multidisciplinary cardiovascular team will continue to provide the following services:
- Angioplasty
- Cardiac catheterization.
- Arrhythmia and atrial fibrillation management
- Electrophysiology
- Pacemaker Insertion
The Cath Labs also serve as procedural rooms for chemotherapy and kidney dialysis port insertion.
And as an added benefit, these non-surgical, minimally invasive treatments usually do not require an overnight hospital stay. The patient can expect to return to their home the same day to rest and recover.
