Cherry Santos, ARNP

Family Medicine

Overview

Growing up in a family of medical professionals, Cherry Santos discovered her passion for healthcare at an early age, often shadowing her parents. Embracing this passion as her vocation, she embarked on a nursing career more than a decade ago, specializing in pediatrics, mental health and oncology. In addition to her expertise in pediatrics and mental health, Cherry is equally passionate about women's health. Cherry has worked in hospitals in Oregon and outpatient clinics in Washington. Also committed to academic excellence, she earned her undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Portland and graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Gonzaga University. Aiming to become a well-rounded family nurse practitioner, Cherry intentionally gained experience in various specialties to develop a comprehensive understanding of patients across all ages and the unique medical challenges each life stage presents. Through her experiences, Cherry recognized two essential aspects consistent across all ages: 1) the importance of addressing both physical and mental health, and 2) the complexity of navigating the healthcare system. Cherry is devoted to guiding patients towards their most optimal life by ensuring they receive the necessary care and do not overlook their mental well-being. Cherry firmly believes in building strong, collaborative relationships with her patients and their families to achieve these goals. Her empathetic nature, approachable communication style, and holistic perspective lay the groundwork for establishing trust and understanding. Skagit Regional Health, sharing Cherry's values, provides the ideal environment for her to continue her practice.
