Skagit Regional Health is seeking a Nephrologist to join our well established practice in Mount Vernon, Washington. Highlights:

  • Join a collaborative team of two (2) experienced physicians with plans to add an APP.
  • Weekly call of 1:3 equally shared among the providers.
  • This is a full time position that consists of covering inpatient rounding at one hospital facility, seeing patients in clinic and rounding at local dialysis centers with Medical Directorship opportunities available.
  • Our own outpatient dialysis unit is a 25-bed unit attached to the outpatient clinic with both in-center HD and home PD/HHD programs.
  • Our inpatient service has access to a supportive critical care team and interventional radiology services available for acute dialysis, placement of dialysis access and kidney biopsy. Other services include patient evaluation of AKI, critical care consultation, a peritoneal dialysis program and outpatient management of CKD.
  • Our Nephrology practice has the support of a thriving referral network from our in-house primary care providers, ensuring a substantial patient volume from day one.
  • Teaching opportunities exist with Medical Students from PNWU and Residents from our own SRH Residency Program.
  • Integrated EPIC EMR platform utilized system-wide throughout the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an ACGME accredited fellowship program.
  • Must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Nephrology.
  • 2+ years of practice experience preferred; however, new graduates are welcome to apply!
  • Active Washington State license or ability to obtain a Washington State license before start.
