With two hospitals – Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon and Cascade Valley Hospital in Arlington – plus more than two dozen outpatient facilities stretching from Granite Falls to Oak Harbor,
there are many choices for volunteer service.
Whether it’s by pushing a wheelchair, escorting a visitor, delivering newspapers or mail, working in the gift shop, playing the piano or providing pet therapy, our dedicated volunteers play a vital role in creating a healing environment. Volunteers take the time to make patients and visitors feel comfortable and welcomed.

Many of our clinical and non-clinical staff began their journey in healthcare as hospital volunteers. Volunteering in a hospital setting can help students gain exposure to the hospital environment of care, standards and processes. If you’re interested in pursuing a career, there is no better way to learn about all that a hospital offers. Great volunteers can make great future employees.
